ὠνέομαι (ϝωνε-; cp. Lat. ve-num) buy: imperf. ἐωνούμην ( ^cross431), ὠνήσομαι, ἐώνημαι ( ^cross443) have bought or been bought, ἐωνήθην was bought, ὠνητός, -τέος. For ἐωνησάμην (late), Att. has ἐπριάμην (p. ^cross138). Imperf. ὠνεόμην Hdt., ὠνούμην Att. in comp. (ἀντί, ἐξ). ( ^crossVI.)
