The subject of a finite verb is in the nominative: Κῦρος ἐβόα_
The subject nominative may be replaced
a. By a prepositional phrase in the accusative: ἐνθυ_μεῖσθε καθ' ἑκάστους τε καὶ ξύμπαντες
b. By a genitive of the divided whole ( cross1318): Πελληνεῖς δὲ κατὰ Θεσπιέα_ς γενόμενοι ἐμάχοντό τε καὶ ἐν χώρᾳ ἔπι_πτον ἑκατέρων
