τὲ . . . καί is sometimes used of alternatives (for εἴτε . . . εἴτε). Thus, θεοῦ τε γὰρ θέλοντος . . . καὶ μὴ θέλοντος whether God wills or not A. Sept. 427. Here καὶ . . . καί is more common ( cross2877).
