A predicate adjective referring to a genitive regularly stands in the genitive, but a predicate substantive or participle generally stands in the accusative in agreement with the unexpressed subject of the infinitive: Κύ_ρου ἐδέοντο ώς προθυ_μοτάτου γενέσθαι
