ὅτι (ὡς), when separated from its clause by another clause, may be repeated. Thus, ἔλεγεν ὅτι, εἰ μὴ καταβήσονται . . . , ὅτι κατακαύσει . . . τὰ_ς κώμα_ς he said that, if they did not descend, he would burn their villages to the ground X. A. 7.4.5.
