The perfect infinitive with ἄν represents the pluperfect indicative with ἄν or the perfect optative with ἄν: οἶδ' ὅτι (ἂν) φήσειεν πάντα ταῦθ' ὑπὸ τῶν βαρβάρων ἂν ἡλωκέναι
