a. end in ο: λογο-γράφο-ς
b. end in α_ or η (rarely): ἐλαφη-βόλο-ς
c. lose ο before a vowel: μόν-αρχο-ς
N.—Words of the ‘Attic’ declension may end in ω, as νεω-κόρο-ς
