Hdn.Gr.2.801); inf. χεσεῖν Ar.Th.570, AP7.683 (Pall.): pf. κέχοδα (only in compds. ἐγ-, ἐπι-χέζω): Pass., κέχεσμαι (v. infr.):—ease oneself, Ar. ll.cc., etc.: prov., εἰ μηδὲ χέσαι γε . . σχολὴ γενήσεται Stratt.51; οὐκ ἔχεις ὅ[ποι χέσῃς] ὑπὸ τῶν ἀγαθῶν cj. in Men.530.9, cf.
